Former legal interns of the SPC-EU Deep Sea Minerals (DSM) Project took to the camera to share their experiences and the skills acquired during their internships with the Project.

Initiated in 2012, the Legal Internship Scheme provides practical legal training to Law graduates. Trainings focus on legislative review, legal drafting, legal research and analysis, as well as formal interaction and correspondence with government officials and a varioius range of stakeholders.

The DSM Project is committed to building the capacity of Pacific Island nationals in the emerging sector of deep sea minerals in its 15 Pacific Island participating countries (the Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu).
